Here’s what Macaber have to say about themselves.
“Well, we're Macaber (Dutch spelling of Macabre). We're a schoolfriends’ band, we started from scratch when we were 9 and 10 and cute and the band was called De Nor (The Slammer in English) - Rik couldn’t play keyboard, Casper couldn’t sing, and Clio and Bob couldn’t (really) play guitar but Max COULD play drums so we decided to give this whole band thing a go... so far we've recorded 3 songs: Godless, Missing and Nansie. One of our mums thought of the band’s name coz all our names are in it — duh! A bit like N’Sync. Nice.
Anyway, we're set in Holland in a little town called Boskoop. Rik, Casper and Bob are all Dutch and proud of it. Clio and Max (twins) are British/American and have lived in Holland for most of their lives.
By now we’ve all got typical adolescent spots, bad hair and bad attitudes. We can blame Casper for all the lyrics.”
