CLIO
So, you're stuck with your parents at a garden party; you take a look around, spot a couple of girls your age, grab a guitar and before long you've written your first song together, singing it there and then to show everyone you’re up for it!
It must have been a good experience, because, a couple of years later, Clio’s 17 and still writing songs prolifically— her ever growing folder, covered in doodles and artwork, has at least 30 songs, ranging from punk to jazzy.
She continues to learn more about the guitar and has been lucky in finding a teacher who can help her with both acoustic and electric styles. Clio has performed her own solo work at schools, concerts, parties and festivals. Summer 2007 saw her first gigs in the UK, playing both open-air electric sets with her band and solo acoustic at a pub. As Clio says “Now that I’ve played in front of a field of cows, I can play anywhere, but recording’s scary!”
From the age of ten she has also played lead guitar in the band Macaber.
